In this area of research we study receptors and protein complexes that are controlling signal perception and transduction of the plant hormone ethylene which plays a central role in fruit ripening and senescence.

Photosynthesis
We study C4 photosynthesis and its underlying regulatory mechanisms. To achieve this we focus on solving and interpreting molecular structures of selected key enzymes involved in C4 photosynthesis.
